ON THE ROAD WITH JIM

This year, you can join (Kiwanis International) President Jim “on the road” as he opens Kiwanis clubs around the world. Beginning in October, Jim will host quarterly webcasts live from the field—to share the latest Kiwanis news, give an update on membership and reveal that quarter’s prize for club openers and membership recruiters. (Pro tip: They’re great prizes—you don’t want to be left out of the running). The first webcast is set for Wednesday, October 4, 2017, at 9 p.m. U.S. Eastern Time.

Watch for details on each webcast and how to register. The webcasts are free and open to any Kiwanis member. Registration gives you a link to join the webcast and saves you a “seat.” And you’ll want to register, because seats are limited!

Last year Lakewood Kiwanis planted 500 daffodil bulbs in the gardens at Malachi House which created a beautiful spring garden.  Because the garden is quite large at least an additional 500 daffodil bulbs need to be added this year.

If you are able to donate daffodil bulbs or cash so they can be purchased, please bring your bulbs to our meetings over the next few weeks.  A planting date will soon be announced and your help will be needed once again to do the bulb planting.

Hi John ,

I just wanted to compliment you on the "Message Board' " Web page for Kiwanis.  This is an EXCELLENT information  tool, easy to read, easy to navigate and easy to access.  MANY of the members are lamenting  the loss of the Kiwanigram and they should be encouraged to  start actively reading  the  Message Board.  I hear many remarks  like  "when is that? I didn't know about that. Who is the speaker today ? Nobody mentioned that. etc etc. I can't believe that any ACTIVE Kiwanis member does not have some access to a computer. We all appreciated the KIWANIGRAM but your MESSAGE BOARD is more than adequate for running the business of the club and keeping all adequately informed.

JOHN MUMMA
